Arctic blast set to hit North East Lincolnshire
North East Lincolnshire is to be lashed by tail-end of an Atlantic 'weather bomb' later this week. The system, known as an ‘explosive cyclogenesis’ or ‘weather bomb’, is expected to pass just to the south of Iceland – staying away from the UK, but it will affect Britain by bringing wet and windy conditions tomorrow night, which will stay for Wednesday and possibly Thursday.
Forecasters have issued snow and ice warnings for most of UK ahead of the 80mph storm that could strike later in the week.
Blustery and wintry weather will sweep across the UK, bringing fears of disruption and travel chaos to areas especially those in northern England.
Most of the UK was under a severe weather warning today, with the Met Office stating we will suffer the ‘first notable north-westerly blast of the year’.
